Timothy R. Gilbert, D.C.
Chiropractic Physician
Doctorate: National University of Health Sciences
Bachelor's: University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
Dr. Gilbert is the founder and owner of Full Strength Spine and Health.
Dr. Gilbert bases his treatment on understanding the true origin of the patient’s problem, rather than merely treating the symptoms. He believes in the use of soft tissue techniques, rehabilitation, acupuncture, and gentle manipulation when needed. These techniques, in combination with patients taking an active role in their care by focusing on exercise and rehabilitation, are the keys to the overall success of treatment. At the end of the day, Dr. Gilbert wants his patients performing at their best, whether that is on the field, in the office, or in their activities of daily living. His goal is to not only relieve pain for his patients, but also to help them avoid the potential for re-injury and to help educate them on living a better quality life.
As part of that active lifestyle, Dr. Gilbert has been involved in athletics his entire life. He started out playing various sports as a child but fell in love with the game of hockey. He played his youth hockey locally with the Downers Grove Huskies and Team Illinois. After high school, he played Junior A for the Waterloo Blackhawks of the USHL and then finished his career playing college hockey for the University of Illinois.
Currently, Dr. Gilbert resides in La Grange with his wife and daughter. He enjoys golfing, fishing, playing men’s league hockey, and spending quality time with family and friends.
